As President, Amy Welch provides leadership and strategic direction for Stageworks Theatre, ensuring its artistic and operational success. She oversees board meetings, policy implementation, and overall theatre governance. In addition, she oversees Stageworks Acting Academy, ensuring that educational programs align with the theatre’s mission, fostering talent development and accessibility for aspiring performers and technicians.
John Deering
John Deering serves as Vice President, focusing on governance and facilities. He helps uphold theatre policies and procedures, compliance, and organizational integrity. Additionally, he oversees theatre facilities management, ensuring that the venue remains a safe, functional, and welcoming space for performers, staff, and patrons.
Amy Gentry
Vice President, Fundraising Chair, Special Events
As Vice President, Amy Gentry leads fundraising and special events to support the theatre’s financial sustainability and community engagement. She oversees donor relations, sponsorship development, and fundraising initiatives, ensuring Stageworks Theatre has the necessary resources to thrive. Additionally, she manages special events, coordinating theatre galas, benefit performances, and community engagement activities that enhance visibility, build donor relationships, and create memorable experiences for patrons and supporters.
Lee Ann Kroon

Lee Ann Kroon oversees the financial management of Stageworks Theatre, ensuring budget accountability, financial reporting, and grant compliance. She works closely with the finance team to maintain fiscal health, review income and expenses, and support fundraising efforts to secure the theatre’s long-term stability.
Sherrie Mattson
Secretary, Governance
As Secretary, Sherry Matson manages board records, meeting minutes, and documentation, ensuring transparency and compliance with bylaws. She also plays a key role in governance, assisting in policy enforcement and structural organization to uphold the theatre’s mission and ethical standards.
Steve Welch
Interim Artistic Committee Chair, Safety
Steve Welch manages safety, facilities, and IT operations at Stageworks Theatre. As Safety Officer, he ensures a safe environment for the physical and mental health for performers, staff, and audiences by maintaining safety protocols. He also oversees IT infrastructure, ensuring that ticketing, communication, and operational systems run efficiently. Additionally, Steve serves as Interim Artistic Chair, guiding artistic programming and production oversight.
Danny Zander
Danny Zander is responsible for community outreach, patron experience, and volunteer management at Stageworks Theatre. She develops initiatives to expand community involvement, strengthen audience relationships, and enhance the overall theatre-going experience, from lobby atmosphere to customer service. Additionally, she oversees the theatre’s volunteer program, recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers to support productions, special events, and day-to-day operations. Her role ensures that volunteers feel valued and that their contributions help sustain a welcoming and vibrant theatre environment.
