Jay Prieto, Choreographer and Dance Instructor

Jay is thrilled to be working with Stageworks Theatre students and actors. Teaching has been a passion for Jay, training in choreography movement, hip hop, jazz, ballet and contemporary.  His work won best choreography at the Tommy Tune Awards for the show Once on This Island produced by Klein Forest High School.

 

You've seen him in shows Roald Dahl's Matilda, Cabaret, Mamma Mia, and She Loves Me at Stageworks.  This versatile performer is involved with choreography, stage management, directing, now teaching. Jay is super excited to take on this next chapter at Stageworks and make dance available to students who are just learning to move their bodies for storytelling.
